Head Women's Volleyball Coach - Vic Carr

Women’s volleyball returns to the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville as an intercollegiate sport with Vic Carr as head coach.

Vic has coached numerous sports in Titusville. He has served as the varsity girl’s basketball coach as well as an assistant coach in the boy’s basketball, football and baseball programs for the Titusville School District.

Most recently Vic served as the assistant men’s basketball coach for Pitt-Titusville during the 2011-2012 season and the 2013-2014 season

With an extensive history of officiating high school volleyball, Vic will use his expertise in this sport to lead the lady panthers in the first volleyball season at Pitt-Titusville since 2008.

Vic is a 1981 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a B.S degree in health and physical education. During his time at “The Rock” he lettered in baseball.

Vic’s coaching philosophy includes recruiting good students and great people who will work hard to excel in the classroom setting and on the court.  "I am sold on the fact that good people win volleyball games not just good volleyball players.  Attitude, character, and effort are the next things I look for in a recruit, besides their potential to succeed academically.  These things are intangible but they are the things that winners and winning teams are made up of.
