University Book Center Under the supervision of the Office of Business Affairs it is located on the first floor of the
Student Union. Available at the Center are textbooks, snacks, beverages, office and school supplies, personal items, stamps,
Pitt clothing and memorabilia, check-cashing service, and UPS services.
Snack Bar "Boomer's" is the snack bar located in the
Student Union and provides a variety of sandwiches, beverages, pizza, snack items, and the meal exchange program, as well as daily specials.
TV Lounge A lounge with cable television is available in "Boomer's" as well as a piano for student maestros.
Commuter Lounge A comfortable study and lounging area for commuter students, this facility on the second floor of the Student Union (SU215) includes a lounge and study area, microwave, coffee setup, refrigerator, and a limited computer access to provide a home-away-from-home.
Food Services Sodexho provides contract food services to the UPT campus. This includes the University Dining Hall (Ball Hall), the Student Union Snack Bar ("Boomer's"), and catering services for special events and activities. All resident students must purchase a meal plan. There are two plans available - 15 or 19 meal plan. Meal exchange options are available at the Snack Bar. Food Service also provides "sick trays" to accommodate ill students. Special meals regularly planned include holiday buffets,
Study Break Breakfast, and other "monotony breakers". There are also meal tickets/plans available for commuter students and faculty/staff.
Campus Police The Campus Police Office
has moved to the first floor of Spruce Hall and provides for the safety and security needs of the campus community and facilities. All officers are Act 120 trained and certified police officers in the State of Pennsylvania and are armed and empowered to arrest. The Office also provides an escort service in the evening hours and is the site of all lost and found items.
Parking Regulations All vehicles using University parking areas must be registered with the
