Student Organizations
To be recognized by the University, a student organization must have an advisor selected from university faculty-staff membership and a constitution approved by the Student Government
Association (SGA). Once approved the club/organization may apply for funding through the Student Budget Committee (SBC).

Currently the following are recognized student organizations at UPT:
Alpha Omega Campus Fellowship A student group under the guidance of community ministries, this club provides activities and fellowship opportunities to foster spiritual growth.

Biology and Health
Sciences Club Engages students
interested in biology and the health
sciences field. For more

Cheerleaders The mission of this team of students is to encourage the athletic teams at UPT.

Chemistry Club This group of
students work with the chemistry department
to extend their chemistry activities outside
the classroom and more in-depth. Any
student presently enrolled or who has been
enrolled in a chemistry course is invited to
join this club.

Commuter Student Association
Assists the commuter students in academic
pursuits and promotes participation in
campus activities. For more

Diversity Club The outreach of this
group is to explore ethnic backgrounds of
the University and to bring all students
together to understand everyone's heritage.

Society of United
Gamers is to amalgamate those who
display the burning desire for gaming and
all things game related. Games include
board games, card games, tabletops games,
role playing games, computer games and
console games. For more information,

Gospel Choir is an
organization of students who comes together
to sing gospel music of any chance or
opportunity that is given. The UPT
Gospel Choir exists for persons to up lift
and glorify through song. For more

Student Organization
of the UPT Nursing Program is to unify
the members and to encourage them to work
collectively as a group to promote
professional, social, educational, and
cultural issues that are central to the
professional development of student nurses.

Paintball Club Recreational group
that establishes times for students involved
in the club to play paintball off campus.

Phi Theta Kappa A national honor society recognizing academic achievement among students in two-year colleges, it also promotes service and leadership by its members - who must maintain a 3.5 GPA.

Physics and Engineering Club A club
to get individuals interested in physics and
engineering. For more information, contact

Student Activities Board The SAB is the primary programming organization at UPT and book entertainment, host entertainers, and publicize events. SAB is a member of the National Association for Campus Activities
(NACA). The office is located in SU 204.

Student Government Association Provides a forum for student input into decisions affecting student life.
SGA monitors expenditures of student activities fees.

SIFE Established to encourage interest in the areas of economics and the business profession and related activities.
This group also competes each spring in the
regional SIFE Competition in Cleveland,

Student Physical Therapy Association
The SPTA promotes personal and professional
growth while encouraging learning and
involvement in healthcare. Membership is
available to all students registered in the
PTA Program. For more information,

Travel Club The
organization exposes its members to travel
and new places. Members are encouraged
to participate in the trip to Nicaragua
during Spring Break by enrolling in the
Anthropology course. For more information,
