TITUSVILLE, Aug. 10 – Dr. James Rash, Vice President for Business Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville, and John R. Mumford, Executive Director of Enrollment Management at UPT, have announced the consolidation and collaboration of the Student Accounts and Financial Aid Offices into the Office of Student Financial Services to better serve the students.

“The consolidation of Student Accounts and Financial Aid is the direct result of our desire to improve service to our students,” says Rash.  “We are happy the plan has been implemented in time for the fall semester, so that we can offer one-stop shopping in one building for students with questions regarding their registration, financial aid or student accounts.”

As part of the new plan, three UPT staff members received promotions.  Nicole Neely, former Director of Student Accounts, has been named Director of Student Financial Services.  She will be responsible for both functions of the previously separate offices.  Trisha Ongley, former Financial Aid Assistant, will assume the role of Financial Aid Manager, and Kathleen Plyler, previously the Student Accounts Assistant, will now serve as Student Accounts Manager.

“The Office of Student Financial Services is now located entirely in Bennett Davis Hall to improve service to our students,” says Mumford.  “In addition, each of the three staff members is cross-trained in each other’s responsibilities within their area.  Now, when Student Accounts, for example, is really busy, all three can focus on it, and likewise with Financial Aid.”

Neely has an associate degree in business and accounting, both from UPT.  She is working on her bachelor’s degree in business.  Plyler has an associate degree in business information systems, and Ongley is currently taking classes toward her associate degree.
