UPT SIFE TEAM TOURS WEYERHAEUSER NORTHWEST
HARDWOOD FACILITY
TITUSVILLE, Oct. 20 -- The University of
Pittsburgh at Titusville Students In Free
Enterprise (SIFE) Team recently toured the
Weyerhaeuser mill and warehouse facility located
in the Titusville Industrial Park.
Rick Motter, Safety and Environmental Manager
for Weyerhaeuser Northwest Hardwoods and a
member of the SIFE TEAM Advisory Board,
organized the tour. Also participating in the
company overview and tour were Dave Hanson,
Business Manager, Chris Ellis, Mill Operations
Manager, and Aaron Madden, Safety Coordinator
Assistant.
Weyerhaeuser is an international forest products
company. They have been ranked in the Fortune
200 since 1956, and they are number one in their
industry in social responsibility. The
Titusville division of Weyerhaeuser Choice Wood
employs approximately 200 people.
SIFE is a nonprofit international organization
with teams on over 1400 college campuses in over
33 countries. The UPT SIFE Team learns about,
teaches others, and practices free enterprise.
