UPT SIFE TEAM BUSY IN COMMUNITY - PRESENTED "SAFE PROGRAM" TO SENIORS IN TITUSVILLE

TITUSVILLE, Feb. 17 - The University of Pittsburgh at Titusville Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team presented their SAFE: Seniors Against Fraud via Education Program at both the Billie Brown Building and the Central Towers in downtown Titusville on Thursday, January 29.

A group of attentive and concerned seniors were on hand at both locations. The program was presented in PowerPoint with an agenda that consisted of five fraud topics: identity theft, mail fraud, telephone fraud, internet fraud, and check fraud.

The seniors enjoyed a quiz on the information presented, and they were given handouts full of tips for protecting themselves, as well as contact numbers to call for more information.  A question-and-answer session followed the presentations.

SIFE is a nonprofit international organization with active teams on over 1,500 college campuses in 37 countries around the world.
