A-CAPPELLA GROUP NATURALLY SEVEN PLANS

RETURN PERFORMANCE AT UPT ON FEBRUARY 2

Naturally Seven, internationally recognized a-cappella singers, will perform at UPT on Monday, February 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Henne Auditorium.

TITUSVILLE, Jan. 18 -- Naturally Seven, one of the most brilliant vocal groups to enter the national music scene in the last 15 years, will perform once again at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville on Monday, February 2, at 7:30 p.m., in Henne Auditorium.  Naturally Seven was one of the featured musical events of UPT’s 2002-2003 Spotlight season.  They were so well received that UPT is bringing them back for another command performance as part of the current Spotlight Series.

Naturally Seven is an a-cappella group that literally debuted at the New York City Regional Harmony Sweepstakes and walked away with top honors.

They then stunned the a-cappella community by walking away as Grand Champions of the National Harmony Sweepstakes only two months later.  The members have played countless clubs, festivals and gatherings, including Madison Square Garden, The Bitter End, The Bottom Line, and Westbury Music Fair.

There sound is urbanized, funky and present, spotlighting what has been called “gorgeous textures, brilliant arranging, and inspired, soulful delivery.”  Welles Goodrich of National Public Radio describes it as “exquisite harmony created amidst the resonant balance of seven grand singers.”

The performers have been burning up the European music market with a #1 hit on the German Billboard charts and another single climbing the top 40.  SONY Records plans releases next in Japan, followed by the United States.

For more information or to purchase tickets, please contact the UPT Public Relations Office at 827-4503.  Tickets are also available at the door.
