University of Pittsburgh at Titusville Recognized at NACA Conference

TITUSVILLE, Dec. 13 – The University of Pittsburgh at Titusville was recognized this fall at the 2005 National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in Lancaster.

            UPT students Josh Plassmeyer and Chris Sippel attended the conference with their advisor and conference coordinator Stephanie Thomas.  The conference showcases entertainment and lectures for college campuses in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Washington D.C., and eastern Ontario.

            UPT received the second place award for its Spotlight Series mailer entry in the graphic arts competition for the 2004-2005 season.  The annual Spotlight Series received an Outstanding Multicultural Program certificate award for demonstrating effective use of campus resources, attainment of stated goals, and an outstanding marketing and promotional plan.

            Student involvement was recognized in the planning and presentation of the programs.  Stephanie Thomas was recipient of the Outstanding Campus Activities Professional Award.  In addition, UPT was named as a co-award recipient along with Penn State Abington for the Outstanding School Delegation Award for a small delegation.
