Karen Skinner, Director of Health Services

for 16 Years, Retires from UPT

 

Karen Skinner, who served as Director of Health Services for 16 years, retired in January of this year from the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville.

TITUSVILLE, Apr. 28 – Karen Skinner, who served as Director of Health Services at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville for over 16 years, retired in January of this year.  Skinner joined the UPT campus in the summer of 1989.  While at UPT, she also taught first aid and CPR classes.

            Prior to coming to UPT, Skinner was a registered nurse and health services instructor for the American Red Cross.  In addition, she and her husband Dick owned and operated a woodcraft business.

Upon retirement, Skinner and her husband traveled to Lakeland, Florida, where they vacationed for three months.  They recently returned to their Titusville home.

Skinner’s retirement plans include spending time with her three children, seven grandchildren, and traveling with her husband.

A farewell retirement reception was held in January, where UPT President Michael Worman presented Skinner with an official “Pitt” chair and thanked her for her dedication and service.
