UPT FACULTY MEMBER JANET MOFFITT WILL PRESENT AT AMERICAN PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

 

Janet Moffitt, PT, MS, and Director and Assistant Professor of the UPT Physical Therapist Assistant Program, was selected by the American Physical Therapy Association to present at the Annual Combined Sections Meeting  in February.

  

TITUSVILLE, Jan. 27 -- Janet Moffitt, PT, MS, Director and Assistant Professor of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville will present at the American Physical Therapy Association's Annual Combined Sections Meeting on February 9, 2004, in Nashville.

Moffitt will present the educational program, "Assuring CAPTE Compliance with Determining Students Are Competent and Safe.”

Moffitt was selected for the presentation after the UPT PTA Program successfully met all of the accreditation criteria required by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) of the American Physical Therapy Association in 2003.  In addition, she is an On-Site Team Leader for CAPTE, assisting in the accreditation process for other PTA programs.

A Franklin native, Moffitt lives in Hannaville with her husband Scott Crosier and children, Barbara and Thomas Greene.  She earned a bachelors and masters in physical therapy from the University of Pittsburgh, where she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in science education.
