TITUSVILLE, Sept. 2 -- Dr. Ping
Furlan, Associate Professor of Chemistry
and Advisor of the Chemistry Club at the
University of Pittsburgh at Titusville,
has recently been appointed to the
American Chemical Society (ACS) Student
Affiliates (SA) Chapter Annual Report
Review Committee. |
According to the ACS Student Affiliates Program
and the Society Committee on Education (SOCED),
Furlan has been chosen to participate in this
review process because she has been recognized
by ACS as a model mentor and advisor to
undergraduates in the chemical sciences.
The purpose of the review process is to select
the Award-winning Chapters based on the annual
reports submitted by over 900 ACS SA chapters
nationwide. The comments provided by the
reviewers accompanying the review of the reports
will also be helpful in providing feedback to
chapters who are seeking to improve upon their
club activities. There are thirty faculty
advisors participating in the entire process.
Furlan resides in Titusville with her husband
and son.
