TITUSVILLE, March 22 - Dr. Ping Furlan,
associate professor of chemistry at the
University of Pittsburgh at Titusville, received
the Outstanding Member of the Year Award
by the Erie Section of the American Chemical
Society. |
Furlan was selected as the recipient of the
prestigious award for her exceptional efforts as
mentor and advisor to the UPT Chemistry Club, an
award-winning American Chemical Society Student
Affiliates Chapter.
In addition, the Award recognizes Furlan’s
active civic involvement promoting public
education in chemistry.
The award was presented at a special banquet on
February 27 at the Bel-Aire in Erie.
