DR. PING FURLAN NAMED OUTSTANDING MEMBER

OF THE YEAR BY ACS ERIE SECTION

 

TITUSVILLE, March 22 - Dr. Ping Furlan, associate professor of chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville, received the Outstanding Member of the Year Award by the Erie Section of the American Chemical Society.

Furlan was selected as the recipient of the prestigious award for her exceptional efforts as mentor and advisor to the UPT Chemistry Club, an award-winning American Chemical Society Student Affiliates Chapter. 

In addition, the Award recognizes Furlan’s active civic involvement promoting public education in chemistry. 

The award was presented at a special banquet on February 27 at the Bel-Aire in Erie.
