UPT STUDENTS PART OF STUDY ABROAD GROUP

TO CZECH REPUBLIC

 

Ms. Cynthia J. Andes, Leeann Frank, Lora Wester, Gratia Brown and Dr. Margaret Hermanek Peaslee studied abroad in the Czech Republic in May of this year.

TITUSVILLE, Pennsylvania June 20 -- A group of Study Abroad students returned home in May after touring cities, museums, and historical sites in several areas of the Czech Republic. 

As part of the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville Study Abroad in the Czech Republic group, Leeann Frank of Oil City, Lora Wester of Pittsfield and Gratia Brown of Guilford, Connecticut, visited Prague, Pilsen and Brno with UPT faculty Dr. Margaret Hermanek Peaslee, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Professor of Biology, and Ms. Cynthia J. Andes, Assistant Professor of Humanities and English.

Frank and Brown painted watercolor renderings of selected scenes, while Wester collected information to use in a presentation of her interpretation of the history of genetics.  Wester will make her presentation at a Brown Bag Luncheon in September at UPT.  The Luncheon will be announced at a later date.
