ERIE MILLCREEK MALL CHEMISTRY SHOW
TITUSVILLE, Oct. 8 - To celebrate 2004 National Chemistry Week, the Erie Section of the American Chemical Society will host the Student Affiliates National Chemistry Week Mall Show on Saturday, October 23, from 9-4 p.m. in the Erie Millcreek Mall. Over 25 University of Pittsburgh at Titusville Chemistry Club members will participate in the event. They will work with students and faculty from other local universities at the mall from 9:00 – 1:00 p.m. and 12:00 – 4:00 p.m.. More than 20 activities reflecting this year’s theme, “Health and Wellness,” will provide hands-on experience for mall patrons. In addition, participants will receive helium balloons and other free give-aways. Dr. Ping Furlan, associate professor of chemistry at UPT, and Dr. Theresa Thewes of Edinboro University, are serving as co-organizers of the Mall event. The show is open to the public at no charge. # # #
