TITUSVILLE, Oct. 27 – Next week on Thursday, November 4, Friday, November 5, and Saturday, November 6, audiences will be entertained with the Titusville Winter Theatre production of the comedic classic Arsenic and Old Lace.  Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. in Henne Auditorium on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville.

Arsenic and Old Lace will bring to the stage a timeless comedy of a family run rampant with insanity.  The play centers around two murderous elderly aunts with noble intentions, one uncle who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt, one evil nephew who has escaped from prison, and Mortimer – the sane but bewildered nephew who is recently engaged, but who must sort out his family’s mess of murder and mayhem before he can marry Elaine, his naively innocent fiancé.

UPT President Michael Worman is directing a cast of experience local talent, including Debbie Jones, Chantel Blose, Tim Snyder, C.J. Kirvan, and Karen Clark, all of Titusville, and Chris Marshall of Franklin in the lead role as Mortimer.

Arsenic and Old Lace is the fall TWT production of the 2004-2005 Spotlight Series, a cooperative venture between UPT and the Titusville Winter Theatre.  For information about the Spotlight Series, contact the UPT Public Relations Office at 827-4503 or 827-4429.
