TITUSVILLE, Pennsylvania June 20 --
Melanie O. Anderson of Franklin, Assistant
Professor of Business and Director of Continuing
Education at the University of Pittsburgh at
Titusville, presented a paper at the 36th
Association of Small Computer Users in Education
Conference, held June 8–12.
Through her topic “Basic Digital Video Editing
with VideoStudio,” she demonstrated how to edit
digital video from a digital camera/ digital
video camera using VideoStudio software by Ulead.
VideoStudio is a low-cost software tool (under
$100) that a beginner can use to create
professional-looking videos. Anderson conducted
a demonstration of the software including
capturing video, using the storyboard, adding
transition effects, adding titles, recording
voice-overs, and inserting music/audio tracks.
Anderson says, “Video creation has become
affordable and easy with the introduction of
these software packages. Videos can be
captured, edited, and rendered for use in the
workplace as a training and/or educational
tool.”
