PAPER AT EDUCATION CONFERENCE

 

Melanie O. Anderson of Franklin, Assistant Professor of Business and Director of Continuing Education, presented a paper at the 36th ASCUE Conference last week.

TITUSVILLE, Pennsylvania June 20 -- Melanie O. Anderson of Franklin, Assistant Professor of Business and Director of Continuing Education at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville, presented a paper at the 36th Association of Small Computer Users in Education Conference, held June 8–12.

Through her topic “Basic Digital Video Editing with VideoStudio,” she demonstrated how to edit digital video from a digital camera/ digital video camera using VideoStudio software by Ulead.

VideoStudio is a low-cost software tool (under $100) that a beginner can use to create professional-looking videos.  Anderson conducted a demonstration of the software including capturing video, using the storyboard, adding transition effects, adding titles, recording voice-overs, and inserting music/audio tracks.

Anderson says, “Video creation has become affordable and easy with the introduction of these software packages.  Videos can be captured, edited, and rendered for use in the workplace as a training and/or educational tool.”
