ENGWRT 0400 - INTRODUCTION TO CREATIVE WRITING 

3 credits

For the beginning and experienced creative writers. Using a workshop environment and computer-assisted group analysis, students pursue their own writing projects and respond to the work of others. No computer experience necessary. There are no prerequisites for this course. Course is graded on satisfactory/no entry basis. This course may not be taken by students who have completed a writing course in the 0500s. (Meets CAS 2nd Literature, Arts, or Creative Expression Requirement.) (Meets UPB Arts Requirement.)  Frequency of Offering:  annually.

 

ENGWRT 0530 - INTRODUCTION TO POETRY WRITING 

3 credits

Designed to help students explore their creativity and develop their talent in poetry writing. It is appropriate for those who wish to attempt this endeavor and for those who have already written several poems. The class is conducted in workshop format and looks at what has been done on a grand scale, as well as at our own work. There are no prerequisites for this course. (Meets CAS 2nd Liturature, Arts, or Creative Expression Requirement.)  (Satisfies Humanities Requirement for the School of Engineering.) (Meets UPB Arts Requirement.)  Frequency of Offering:  annually.
