This program is well-established and highly successful in clinical placement and employment of its graduates. The Program has recently been awarded continued accreditation through the year 2011 by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The program enrolls approximately 40 students and employs a full-time Academic Coordinator for Clinical Education, additional part-time faculty, and a full clerical staff.
PTA Program Director
The Titusville Campus of the University of Pittsburgh (www.upt.pitt.edu) wishes to fill a non-tenure-stream, 12-month faculty position beginning with the 2007-2008 academic year. The successful applicant will be in charge of all aspects of the PTA Program and involved in teaching courses such as Introduction to Physical Therapy, PTA Principles and Procedures 1 – 4, and Kinesiology. The successful applicant must be a physical therapist with at least five years of clinical experience, possess a minimum of a master’s degree, and meet CAPTE requirements for a program director. PHYSICAL ANTHROPOLOGY, VISITING INSTRUCTOR
The University of Pittsburgh, Titusville Campus (www.upt.pitt.edu) ANTHROPOLOGY DEPARTMENT invites applications for a two-year visiting appointment in Biological Anthropology to begin in fall 2008. The area of expertise within the field is open, but the applicant will be expected to assist in the teaching of an undergraduate anatomy and physiology course and core courses on physical anthropology and cultural anthropology. Candidates are preferred who have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. A PhD is preferred, but consideration will be given to candidates who are ABD or possess a master’s degree with college teaching experience.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF SOCIOLOGY

Responsibilities for this position include teaching a variety of undergraduate courses in business, advising students, and engaging in university service. Normal teaching load is 12 credits per term. A Ph.D. is preferred, Master’s degree in business related area required. The selection criteria include a commitment to and demonstrated effectiveness in classroom instruction including college teaching experience.
