Housing Facilities

A paramount benefit related to living on campus is the opportunity provided for self-discovery and personal development.  Other areas that living on campus positively impact are:

  • Development of interpersonal skills.

  • Increases the students' support for interacting with different racial and cultural groups.

  • Positive impact on leadership development.

  • Convenient access to experiences that directly promote growth related to a personal decision-making process.

Whenever possible, the University attempts to honor student requests for roommate and housing assignments; housing assignments are made beginning in June for the fall term. Roommate requests will only be accepted until June 1st, after that date roommate requests will be honored as space permits. Single room requests are honored when space permits for an additional fee. All facilities are wired with direct internet access and free laundry facilities for UPT students.

Handicap-accessible rooms with individual bathrooms are located in Spruce Hall.  Students with disabilities or requiring special housing or testing accommodations should register with the DRS (Disability Resources Services) representative at UPT at (814-827-4465) or in SU218.  More information is available by clicking here.
