Consistent with the University-wide and the Titusville Campus mission, UPT's PTA Program's mission is to graduate well-educated, competent, caring, quality-oriented physical therapist assistants. Dedicated to this mission are the program's full-time faculty, Dr. Rick Cribbs and Ms. Joyce Carbaugh.
Dr. Cribbs obtained his B.S. Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Chatham University in 2005. Dr. Cribbs has many years of experience in all areas of physical therapy and has attended numerous continuing education seminars concentrating on orthopedic/manual therapies and industrial rehabilitation. He maintains a per diem employment status with the VNA of Crawford County and Meadville Medical Center.
Ms. Carbaugh obtained her Physical Therapist Assistant Associate degree as a member of the first graduating class of our own PTA Program. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education at Slippery Rock University. Joyce is a certified and licensed PTA and has extensive clinical experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant and as an exercise physiologist and massage therapist. This experience will be a definite asset to her role in our PTA program. Welcome back to Pitt!
