Room and Board
Room charges for the 2011-2012 academic year are $2372 per term, based on double occupancy. Meal Plans generally range from $2,039 to $1,928 per term, based on the number of dining passes and flex dollars selected. For detailed information about housing and meal plan options available to the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville students, visit Residence Life & Housing.
Other Expenses
Students can expect to incur additional expenses for books and supplies ($600-$1100 per year), transportation, and personal and miscellaneous items. These expenses vary, depending on personal circumstances. Items such as clothing, entertainment, telephone calls, travel, etc. need to be considered.
Study Abroad Expenses
Students participating in a University recognized and sponsored Study Abroad program can request that their Cost of Attendance for the Study Abroad term be reviewed. Should those educational expenses exceed those incurred in a typical on campus term, a student's Demonstrated Financial Need may increase. An increase in this Cost of Attendance will not increase the student's eligibility for grants, scholarships or other campus-based funds. It may, however, enable the student to borrow additional funds through the Stafford Student Loan program, the Parent PLUS program or other alternative loan sources.
In order for these expenses to be reviewed, please complete the Cost of Attendance Increase for Study Abroad form and return it with the appropriate documentation to the Office of Financial Aid.
Funds available to students who are recipients of University sponsored tuition or room and board scholarships will be revised for the term or terms spent abroad. The tuition scholarship amount will be limited to the current per term University of Pittsburgh at Titusville tuition rate, adjusted annually for students who first enroll September 2010 or later. The room and board portion will be limited to the amount charged for a standard double on-campus room and a typical meal plan.
Computer Purchase Expenses
Students who purchase a computer may be eligible to have an increase made to their Cost of Attendance. For each school year, purchases made after April 15 (prior to the start of the fall term) will be considered and receipts must be provided. Receipts must clearly indicate that a computer was purchased and when. Students should expect to pay between $1500 - $3000 for the computer and related hardware. The Financial Aid Office will limit the total amount of the cost of attendance adjustment to $3000.
In order for these expenses to be reviewed, please contact the Office of Financial Aid for a Cost of Attendance Increase form and return it with the appropriate documentation to the Office of Financial Aid. |
