The Nursing Program provides an Associate of Science in Nursing which prepares students at the undergraduate level to sit for the State Board of Nursing examination to become a Registered Nurse. This program maintains the University of Pittsburgh’s emphasis on excellence in undergraduate education by providing a strong foundation in the sciences and clinical knowledge.

The Associate of Science in Nursing is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Licensure pass rates among our graduates are substantially above both the Pennsylvania and national averages for graduates of both ASN and BSN programs.
