Internship Requirements:

During final term of the Program, students spend 135 hours in a supervised internship. Students must produce a research report based on the internship and deliver a presentation on the report.


  • Associate of Arts Degree

Human Services is a multi-disciplinary field which prepares professionals for employment in supportive, therapeutic, community Human Services at workservices, and intervention programs. Classes include an overview of the issues and history involving human services work, philosophical models, types of services and professional roles. Our graduates work in a variety of settings including community social services agencies, public and private schools, and the judicial system. Employment opportunities in the Human Services/Human Relations field include:

  • Schools

  • Hospitals

  • Government agencies

  • Non-profit organizations

  • Group homes


Human Relations

Students have the option of completing a bachelor’s degree in human relations from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford while remaining at the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville. This degree program is designed to provide students who are interested in careers in a wide variety of community services to complete their undergraduate degrees at the Titusville campus. The human relations degree is an attractive option for graduates of the human services program.
