25 Thursday Freshmen Orientation Session 2
JULY 3 Friday University closed for Independence Day observance
8 Wednesday Fall Term deadline for continuing full time students to register without a financial penalty.
AUGUST 27 Thursday

Freshman Orientation Session 3.

Residence halls open at 8:00 a.m. for Freshmen Orientation Session 3 participants.
28 Friday Residence halls open at 9:00 a.m. for freshmen.
30 Sunday Residence halls open at 9:00 a.m. for continuing students
31 Monday

Fall Term (2101) classes begin.

Fall Term (2101) registration period ends for all students.
SEPTEMBER 3 Thursday Opening Convocation at1:00 p.m. on McKinney Lawn.  All classes are canceled from 1:00p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
5-7 Saturday-Monday No classes.  University closed for Labor Day weekend.
8 Tuesday Tuesday/Thursday sections of FS 0004 begin
9 Wednesday Monday/Wednesday sections of FS 0004 begin
11 Friday

Last day to add or drop classes for the Fall Term (2101).

Deadline for returning Application for Graduation for those students expecting to graduate or complete certificate requirements  in December, 2009.
18 Friday Credit/audit forms due in the Registrar's Office.
OCTOBER 12 Monday Fall Break for students.
13 Tuesday

Monday classes, normally scheduled to meet Monday, October 12th will meet on Tuesday, October 13th.

Tuesday classes will not meet this week.
To Be Announced Mid-term grades to be entered into People Soft by 5:00 p.m. today.
22 Thursday

Spring Term (2104) self registration begins.  Advising appointment must be completed by all students before you can process your registration.

Tuesday/Thursday sections of Freshman Studies ends
26 Monday Monday/Wednesday sections of Freshman Studies ends.
30 Friday Last day to withdraw from full-term class(es) with a W grade.
NOVEMBER 25 Wednesday

Residence halls close at 10:00 a.m. for Thanksgiving Recess.  (Special arrangements for later departure may be made by contacting the Student Affairs staff.)

No Classes.  Thanksgiving recess for students and faculty.
26-29 Thursday-Sunday University closed.  Thanksgiving recess for students, faculty and staff.
29 Sunday Residence halls open at 1:00 p.m.
30 Monday Classes resume.
DECEMBER 11 Friday

Last day for continuing students to register for Spring Term (2104) without paying a financial penalty.

Last meeting for day classes, Fall Term (2101).
12 Saturday Reading Day
14-17 Monday-Thursday

Final examination period.

Evening classes will continue to meet during this period. Final examinations for evening classes will be held during the last scheduled class meeting.

18 Friday Residence halls close at 10:00 a.m.  (Special arrangements for later departure may  be made by contacting the Student Affairs staff.)
19 Saturday Fall Term (2101) ends
19-Jan 5 Saturday-Tuesday Winter Recess.  No classes
22 Tuesday Final grades must be posted into People Soft by 5:00 p.m. today.
24-Jan 3 Thursday-Sunday All University offices and buildings closed except for essential administrative offices.
JANUARY 4 Monday All University offices and buildings open.
5 Tuesday Residence halls open at 8:30 a.m. for all students
6 Wednesday Spring Term 2094 classes begin
