The Celtic Cafe was originated in 1986 by the present owner, Daniel Dunlap. He originally presented the theme of the Celtic Cafe to come from The Boston Celtics basketball team. From there it grew to support all types of sports; mainly golf, football, basketball, and baseball. The Celtic consists of a bar in the front of the building (The Celtic Cafe) and a hallway connecting a second bar called the Shamrock Station in the back of the building that was an expansion of the Celtic in October of 1999.. As of December 2003, Mr. Dunlap conjoined an elegant restaurant called the Boston Garden to support a more romantic dining experience. Deana Madden poses as the manager of the Celtic Cafe; as well as Marie Cutchall for the Boston Garden.
The Celtic Cafe is located at 1213 Liberty Street in Franklin, Pennsylvania (Zip Code: 16323). Daniel Dunlap is very proud to show the Celtic operates 365 days out of the year. The kitchen is open seven days a week and The Boston Garden compliments any dining hours the Celtic does not offer. We offer a wide variety of popular sandwiches, along with dinner salads, homemade soups, appetizers, and daily lunch and dinner specials. We support a large inventory of beer and liquor, with several wine selections. The Celtic Cafe can cater almost any party or one can reserve the Shamrock Station for a private party any night of the week. The Boston Garden, which is the restaurant conjoined to the Celtic, welcomes anyone to simply walk through a doorway to enjoy the planned entertainment for the evening or weekend.
The front bar always contains the newest Golden Tee machine for the dedicated golfers; an ECast jukebox, allowing customers to find almost any song they are looking for online; a pool table; four TVs with hand held gameboards to entertain patrons with free games to play against each other on the televisions themselves. There is also a trophy case and memorialbilia cases holding hundreds of local sports pictures from years and years ago. We also retail golf shirts, sweatshirts, and T-shirts with the Celtic Cafe Logo or the Boston Garden logo for reasonable prices.
